NOVEMBER

Nov 13:  Highland Blues Festival. Be a part of a special happening each November in Shreveport's famed Columbia Park. The best local and national musicians converge on the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival for Shreveport's own "party in the park.”  Our Artist's Alley is filled with one-of-a-kind jewelry, paintings, home decor, jams and jellies and more. You'll find fresh ground coffees, Cajun jambalaya, Caribbean jerk chicken, funnel cakes and all sorts of other tempting treats. The Highland Jazz and Blues Festival is in its seventh musical year. Nov. 18-20:  Les Boutique de Noel.  Bossier Civic Center. The 36th Annual One Stop, Holiday, Shopping Extravaganza sponsored by The Shreveport-Bossier Opera Guild.  This arts and crafts show features a variety of items for holiday gifts and decorations. 318-869-3809; Thurs. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. / Fri. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. / Sat. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nov. 26-28:  Annual Mistletoe & More Show.  Bossier Civic Center, 620 Benton Road, Bossier City, LA  71111. 147 Booths filled with unique one of a kind items, holiday decor, jewelry, tasty treats, gifts for all ages, and much more! Complete all of your holiday shopping less than one roof!  This is an event you do not want to miss!  Families come together to do their traditional holiday shopping at the Annual Mistletoe & More Show. Admission - $4.00. Children 10 years and under are free.  Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 318-564-9489 or 318-470-6714. 

Nov. 26-28; Dec. 3-5; Dec. 17-19: Christmas in Roseland. Gardens of the American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson-Paige Road, Exit 5 off I-20, Shreveport. Amidst a million, sparkling lights, families, groups and individuals alike will stand in awe at the glorious transformation of the Gardens. From animated displays to sleeping roses, to larger-than-life Christmas cards made by Shreveport-Bossier school children. Open Friday through Sunday at 5:30 p.m., with gates closing at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per carload. DECEMBER

Dec. 1-2:  City of Bossier City and Bossier Parish Community College Annual Christmas Show.  Bossier Civic Center. The Annual Christmas Show presented for the City of Bossier by the Bossier Parish Community College. 318-678-6328
