City of Stars lights up the night
Kilgore, TX – The city of Kilgore, Texas is the official “City of Stars,” and this holiday season, Kilgore will light up the night. The City of Kilgore is requesting each business and resident to place a star in or on their home or place of business.
If you’re looking for Christmas meets East Texas charm, then Kilgore is just the place. Children will be able to visit with Santa in his special little house in Kilgore. They will also be able to enjoy face painting, storytelling, Toyland and a puppet show. Afterwards, children can hop on board the train for a quick ride.
Meanwhile, the rest of the family can enjoy the model train displays, the three-lane snow hill and the 35-foot lighted Christmas tree. Then the whole family can take advantage of the Merchant Open House, complete with refreshments, sales, decorated windows, and music.
While shopping and taking in the sights, everyone will take pleasure in the sounds of choirs, carolers and musicians. And if you need even more entertainment, hop on the wagon tour for the Downtown Church Open House. The wagon tour will take riders to seven different churches in downtown Kilgore for special live performances.
