KVKI 96.5 TO CARRY ROCKETS OVER THE RED LIVE NOVEMBER 24

Tune in to KVKI and turn up the volume on November 24 at 8:15pm, when the skies come alive with fireworks and specially choreographed music that accompanies the 20-minute show.

GAP Broadcasting has been a loyal media partner to the event for the past nine years.  “We love being a part of this great community event,” says Lisa Janes, Sales Director for GAP.  “It’s a perfect fit for us.”

KVKI 96.5 is the holiday radio station and has carried the Rockets Over the Red soundtrack live for the past six years.  “We certainly want everyone to attend the show on the Shreveport Riverfront, but if that’s not possible, you can still listen to the beautiful music as the fireworks are shot thanks to KVKI” said Melanie Bacon, Executive Director of Downtown Shreveport Unlimited

Rockets Over the Red opens at 4pm on Saturday, November 24 with music by Eddie Giles and Family, followed by the Greg Talmage Band at 5:30. Both bands will perform in RiverView Park.  At 8:15pm, the skies will light up with the most spectacular fireworks show in the region.

Parking is available in the AmSouth garage at the corner of Market and Milam. Handicapped parking is on Commerce Street.  No personal fireworks, pets or glass bottles are allowed.
